"Some of you may recall that there was a half-serious internet campaign a while back supporting the casting of Donald Glover (Community) as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the upcoming reboot The Amazing Spider-Man. That obviously didn’t come to pass, and Andrew Garfield got the role instead. (Though Glover and Garfield “talked it out” in the end.) But now, Glover has revealed that the spirit of that campaign lives on and will actually materialize in some shape or form in The Amazing Spider-Man. Yes, you heard that right — Donald Glover, or at least something related to him, will make it into Spidey."

The Vegas Trek Attraction That Almost Was

Absolutely amazing story and concept illustrations from attraction designer, Gary Goddard, about how the Downtown Vegas redevelopment plan could have gone (and, IMO, should have gone)

"All of our work, the effort to get Paramount, the Mayor, and redevelopment committee aligned, everything had come to this moment. We were ready to go. Money in place, land provided by the city, license for the property negotiated with Paramount licensing – all set. If Mr. Jaffe says “yes” and we are a “go” project. And the city wanted to have a press conference within a week announcing the project."

Twitter is Suing Spammers!

And the people who help the spammers do what they do:

"This morning, we filed suit in federal court in San Francisco against five of the most aggressive tool providers and spammers. With this suit, we’re going straight to the source. By shutting down tool providers, we will prevent other spammers from having these services at their disposal. Further, we hope the suit acts as a deterrent to other spammers, demonstrating the strength of our commitment to keep them off Twitter."

Don't Hold Your Breath on New Torchwood

Looks like it may be a long wait to see anything new on Torchwood… if we ever see it again at all.

In an interview with Multichannel News, Chris Albrecht (CEO of STARZ) said:

MCN: Is there anything more out of the Torchwood camp. I know you're close with the people there...

CA: You know, Russell [Davies] is so busy. Obviously, we're in touch with the BBC all the time. They are our partners on DaVinci's Demons and the Harem project that you just mentioned. We told them, we stand by ready for any news, but I think it would be a while before Russell came back to Torchwood.

And it seems that Davies and the principle players of Torchwood are pretty busy. Barrowman has the lead in the pilot of a new show (yet to be picked up) called Gilded LilysEve is in a play (with Zach Braff), And Davies is writing for Wizards Vs. Aliens.
